Chennai: In a very unfortunate incident a crane collapsed on the sets of movie, starring Kamal Haasan, ‘Indian 2’, that took away lives of three while 10 others suffered injuries.
The incident happened during the shooting of the film on Wednesday night near Chennai.
According to reports, the team had created the set at EVP Film City in Chennai where three cranes were used for shooting purposes. One of the cranes reportedly lost control and fell over a tent killing the three people on the spot.
The deceased are Madhu, personal assistant to director Shankar, Krishna, an assistant director, and a staffer Chandran.
Injured persons have been shifted to a hospital.
Kamal Haasan took to Twitter to share the mishap. “I have faced and overcome many accidents, but today’s is the most horrific one. I lost three colleagues. The distress of their family members will be many times greater than my own pain. I share their grief as one of them. My deepest condolences to them,” he wrote.
