Thiruvananthapuram: The National Investigation Agency will soon interrogate former principal secretary to the Chief Minister, M Sivasankar. A letter on the same has been sent by NIA to the Chief Secretary.
The NIA has decided to question Sivasankar on the basis of evidence that he had links with smuggling racket.
The NIA has obtained technical and circumstantial evidence against Sivasankar. The accused and Sivasankar were in touch on the phone during the days when the gold was being smuggled.
Apart from this, Sivasankar was present wherever the accused were seen.
The NIA will also check Sivasankar’s phone call details and foreign travel documents.
