Thiruvananthapuram: The Armed Forces in a mega effort is expressing their gratitude to all the coronavirus frontline warriors across the country by flypasts by fighter jets over state capitals, aerial flower shower, and performances by military bands outside hospitals.
Indian Air Force helicopter showered flower petals over Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital.

An ever cherishing event & a morale booster indeed,” tweeted PRO Defence Trivandrum.

The thanksgiving gesture started with the laying of wreaths by the three service chiefs at the police memorial in Delhi this morning to honour police personnel deployed for enforcement of the nationwide lockdown.
Indian Air Force aircraft also flypast over Rajpath in Delhi to express gratitude and solidarity towards healthcare professionals and all frontline workers.
“We (wish to) convey our gratitude to each and every corona warrior and all the citizens of our nation. On May 3 there will be some special activities as a gesture of special gratitude by all three forces,” CDS General Bipin Rawat had said on Friday.
While the Air Force will do a flypast each from Dibrugarh to Kutch and Srinagar to Trivandrum, the Navy will light up its ships. Army musical bands, meanwhile, will perform outside COVID-19 hospitals in almost all the districts.
