Kolkata: Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, who called for an agitation in West Bengal on behalf of the Citizenship Bill, has made a mockery of her move by seeking to hold a peace rally.
The BJP demanded that the President’s rule be imposed against the ill-gotten rule of Mamata, which is fostering extreme religious fanaticism.
Banerjee’s irresponsible call for agitation led to violence that set two railway stations on fire. Many shops in the residential areas and over 15 buses were set ablaze.he BJP also accused Mamata’s policies of helping large-scale migrants from Bangladesh to the state.
The BJP also said it was necessary to recognize the double standards of Mamata’s call for peacekeepers after two days of full-blown violence. The BJP also made a grave allegation that Mamata Banerjee had indirect support for the spread of violence in the neighbouring states too.
