Alappuzha: In a total of 21 members of DYFI block committee in Kayamkulam, 19 of them resigned together after differences of opinion between a faction of CPM workers and MLA U Pratibha.
DYFI Kayamkulam area president and secretary are also among those who resigned. They alleged that the party is not resolving the conflict existing between DYFI and the police.
Recently, Kayamkulam CI had carried out a search at DYFI block Vice President’s house, against which DYFI leaders had strongly protested. DYFI leaders have accused the MLA for backing the CI.
