Thiruvananthapuram: The liquor shops in the state will be opened from Saturday. The decision to open liquor shops comes following the completion of the process of online liquor sale via app. The officials said that after the completion of Google Security Clearance processes, the app will be soon sent for trial run.
The newly generated app for online liquor sales has been named Bev Q. The trial run of the app will be completed in the next two days.
The excise department expects that the sale of liquor will definitely resume on Saturday. At the same time, several fake apps in the pretext of online liquor sales have come under attention of the officials. Therefore, a new name is given to the app, said Excise Department.
Smartphone users can download the app from Playstore. When entering the App, first we have to select the district. Then choose from where one wants to buy the liquor by entering the PIN code of the region. Alcohol can be booked using another PIN code if there is no outlet within the limits of the PIN code.
