Thiruvananthapuram: In a turning point, noose has tightened for Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in connection with the high-profile gold smuggling case.
According to latest report, Swapna Suresh, the main accused in the case, has confirmed that it was the Chief Minister who introduced her to former principal secretary M Sivasankar and that she has visited the Cliff House several times.
It is to be noted that the Chief Minister had earlier denied of his acquaintance with Swapna Suresh.
Reportedly, the Enforcement Directorate will seek details from the Chief Minister in connection with the gold smuggling case after interrogating Sivasankar.
