PM Modi thanks Aamir Khan for his support to curb ‘single-use plastic’

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday took to Twitter and thanked Bollywood actor Aamir Khan after the latter appreciated the initiative of Modi to curb ‘single-use plastic’.

Aamir Khan backed Modi’s mission and tweeted on Twitter where he urged the citizens to strongly support the PM’s initiative. ” The initiative by the Hon’ble PM @narendramodi to curb ‘single use plastic’ is an effort all of us should strongly support. It’s up to each of us to make sure we stop using ‘single use plastic”, he tweeted.

In reply to this PM Modi thanked the actor for his valuable support. ” Thank you @aamir_khan for the valuable support to the movement to eliminate usage of single use plastic. Your encouraging words will inspire others to strengthen the movement as well,” Modi tweeted.

The ‘Dangal’ actor has been an advocate for government initiatives for a long time now.

During his monthly radio address to the nation, “Mann Ki Baat”, PM Modi had highlighted on the ‘new mass movement’ against single-use plastic from October 2, the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and urged the people to join the movement.
