Thiruvananthapuram: The eagerly awaited film ‘Aadujeevitham’ is set to hit screens in Bahrain on April 3. The production house of the film has obtained permission for the screening. The film was previously permitted for screening only in the UAE, among the GCC countries. The managers of theatres in Bahrain conveyed the news, affirming that ‘Aadujeevitham’ will be available for viewing from April 3 onwards.

While the film has been dubbed into various Indian languages, currently only the Malayalam version is being screened in the UAE.

The film’s narrative originates from the widely acclaimed novel ‘Adujeetham’ ,written by Benyamin, which has garnered extensive readership. The novel was translated into multiple languages, including English. However, the novel faced a ban in the Gulf region due to its portrayal of the harsh realities experienced by migrant workers.

The ‘Aadujeevitham’ tells the poignant tale of Najeeb, a young man from Kerala who journeys to the Gulf in pursuit of employment opportunities but falls victim to employment fraud. This gripping narrative sheds light on the challenges faced by migrant workers and the darker aspects of the labour migration experience.

The film ‘Aadujeevitham’ stars actors Prithviraj, K R Gokul, and Amala Paul in the lead roles. Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Blessy, the film has amassed Rs. 17 crore on its first day of release.
