Thiruvananthapuram: After enjoying a successful theatrical run, the Malayalam film ‘Premalu’ is gearing up for its much-anticipated OTT release. Directed by Girish A. D. and starring Naslen and Mamitha Baiju in the lead roles, the film is set to captivate audiences in three languages, including Malayalam, Tamil, and Telugu, on the streaming platform.

‘Premalu’ has garnered widespread acclaim for its youthful vibe, direction, humour, and stellar performances by the entire cast. Fans can mark their calendars as the film is scheduled to start streaming on Disney+Hotstar on April 12.

‘Premalu’ has already made waves in the cinema world, crossing the Rs. 130 crore mark in global box office collections. It joins the esteemed ranks of other blockbuster hits like ‘Pulimurugan’, ‘Lucifer’, ‘RDX’, and ‘Manjummel Boys’ by entering the coveted Rs. 100 crore club.

Featuring Shyam Mohan and Sangeeth Pratab in prominent roles, ‘Premalu’ was crafted on a budget of Rs. 3 crore. This marks Girish A. D.’s third directorial venture, following ‘Thaneer Mathan Dinangal’ and ‘Super Sharanya’. The film chronicles the journey of a college graduate navigating life in Hyderabad, promising audiences an engaging and relatable narrative.

Malayalam cinema has completely taken over the South Indian film industry till date this year by delivering four hits like ‘Anweshippin Kandethum’, ‘Bramayugam’, ‘Manjummel Boys’, and ‘Premalu’.
