New York: American tennis player Serena Williams on Thursday thrashed the world number five Elina Svitolina 6-3,6-1 in the semi-final match and entered her 10th US Open final.
If Serena succeeds her final match, it would be hers 24th major title win. This semi-final match win was her 101st victory in the US Open tournament.
Svitolina could not create any momentum on the court that paved the way for Serena’s easy wins in both the sets.
Serena’s opponent in the final match would be Canadian younster Bianca Andreescu.
