Panaji: Chief Minister of Goa Pramod Sawant on Friday spotted an accident victim and rushed to rescue. A woman tourist was injured after meeting with an accident on Zuari bridge.
Sawant spotted her while his cavalcade was passing from the area. The Chief Minister who is a doctor in alternative medicine examined her wounds and then facilitated her visit to the nearest hospital in a car from his convoy.
“The Chief Minister also enquired whether the injured lady had noted down the number of the vehicle which had collided with a two-wheeler,” an official attached to the Chief Minister’s Office said.
Sawant was on his way to the state capital from the Dabolim International Airport when he saw the woman knocked down in a hit and run case.
