Thiruvanandapuram : Devotees arrest continues. Under 495 cases 2825 devotees had been arrested till date. The mass arrest started on 24th of this month. Peaceful prayer protest, blocking entry to Sabarimala for leftist activist women, non-believer women, restricting the police from doing their duty of helping the atheist to challenge the traditions and customs are the charges against the devotees.
Much stronger protest is rising from the devotees. The Government’s noble act of arresting the devotees, charging non-bailable offence, forced Sabarmala Tradition Protection Committee to filed a petition. Last day considering the plea, the Division bench of the High Court had warned the Government not to arrest anyone who had not been a part to any violence.
