Pathanamthitta: The Sabarimala temple will open today at 5 pm for the Kumbhamasa pooja. The rituals will be done in the presence of the Tantri of the temple, Kandararu Mahesh Mohanar and head priest A. K. Sudhir Namboothiri will light the lamps.
The shrine of the other deities will also be opened today. The devotees will be allowed to enter the shrine of Lord Ayyappa up the 18-step stairs only after lamp is lighted in front of the stairs.
Sabarimala temple will be open till 10 pm on 18 February.
