PM Modi presides over CSIR meeting

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday presided over a meeting of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) society.

In an official statement it said that PM Modi reviewed the work done by CSIR and appreciated the tasks undertaken and gave his suggestions to chart out a future roadmap.

“The Prime Minister stressed on the need to develop virtual labs to ensure science reaches all and to attract young students toward science and also suggested measures to enhance collaboration in research and development projects amongst Indians working across the world,” it said.

PM Modi also asked the society to work towards improving the quality of life of the common man.

“Chaired a meeting of @CSIR_IND during which we had extensive discussions on the rich work done by them as well as on a roadmap for the times ahead. Emphasised on the role of CSIR in taking the lead towards harnessing science to improve people’s lives,” tweeted PM Modi.
