Guwahati : As per the reports, in Tinsukia district, 5 natives of Bengal were killed by United Liberation Front of Assam (Independent). The victims are suspected to be captured from Kerbari in the Bizaniwari region and taken to the Lohit River, where they were shot dead, Police DG Kuladhar Saikia said.
Bengal organisations had declared 12 hour strike in Tinsukia district on Friday. There are reports on the counter attack of the army on Assam-Arunachal border.
