Ludhiana: The Ludhiana assistant commissioner of police, Anil Kohli, lost the battle against coronavirus on Saturday afternoon after struggling hard for 10 days in hospital. He was confirmed with the case on April 13, however prior to that he was admitted in SPS hospital since April 7.
Commissioner of police, Rakesh Agarwal confirmed the news and said it was extremely sad that they had lost a brave cop to coronavirus.
The Punjab government had approved for plasma therapy of ACP but late night on Friday he started deteriorating, causing multiple organ failure.
According to reports, he had fallen ill after his duty in main vegetable market of Ludhiana. His wife, constable driver, an SHO and an ASI have also tested positive of the virus.
