Bengaluru: After the country entered its fourth phase of COVID-19 lockdown, Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa announced that all shops will be allowed to open and all passenger trains running within the state will be allowed to operate.
Meanwhile, the Karnataka government decided to prohibit entry of people from four states- Gujarat, Maharashtra, Kerala and Tamil Nadu till May 31.
“We have decided not to allow entry of people from Gujarat, Maharashtra, Kerala and Tamil Nadu till May 31,” Yediyurappa said.
Yediyurappa took the decision after chairing a meeting with state ministers and senior government officers to deliberate the guidelines issued by the Union Home Ministry on the fourth phase of nationwide lockdown.
