Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala reported new 91 cases of coronavirus today, informed Health Minister KK Shailaja.
Of those, Thrissur recorded the most number of cases with 27, 14 from Malappuram, 13 from Kozhikode, 8 from Kasaragod, 5 each from Kollam and Alappuzha,4 from Kannur, 3 each from Thiruvananthapuram, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam and Ernakulam, 2 from Wayanad, and one from Palakkad.
73 people arrived from abroad, 15 from other states and one person in Thrissur got infected through contact. Also two healthcare workers have also contracted with infection.
Meanwhile 11 people have been tested negative for the coronavirus.
Kerala also reported a death today. The deceased, Dini Chacko (41), was undergoing treatment at Thrissur Medical College. The death toll now in the state stands at 16.
Six new hotspots have also emerged in the state. Shornur in Palakkad district, Moorkanoor, Kuruva, Kalpakkanchery, Edappal, Vattamkulam in Malappuram district are the new hotspots.
