Thiruvananthapuram: The state government has accepted Sabarimala Tantri’s call that devotees not to be allowed to entry into the temple owing to coronavirus outbreak. The decision was taken at a meeting held today between tantri Mahesh Mohanaru, Devaswom Board president N Vasu and Devaswom Minister Kadakampally Surendran.
Tantri Kantaru Mahesh Mohanaru had written to Travancore Devaswom Board demanding not to allow devotees to the temple.
The Tantri also demanded to postpone the festival. If any devotee is diagnosed with the virus infection, everyone related to the temple activities will have to go into quarantine. It will lead to hindrance in the ritualistic activities of the temple.
