Idukki: A four acres of land belonging to an expatriate Malayali has been encroached by CPM workers.
CPM activists took over Manoj’s land from Chembakapara.
Manoj alleged that trees worth over lakh has been cut down by the CPM workers during lockdown. Even after reporting the incident to the police, no action was taken, said Manoj.
On the four acres of land named after him and his mother, a pathway was given for the natives. In this process, some CPM workers first widened the road for the vehicles and now they have totally grabbed the land, Manoj stated in the complaint.
He also said that the encroachment of the land has happened with the backing district leaders.
