Kochi: In the Thiruvananthapuram gold smuggling case, Customs has also included Swapna Suresh in the list of accused. The first accused in the case is Sarith, who was earlier arrested, the second accused is Swapna Suresh, Sandeep Nair, the third accused and Rameez, the fourth accused.
The list was prepared by Customs after questioning Sarith, the main accused in the case and Rameez, the mediator.
TK Rameez, who was arrested by customs yesterday, was produced before a special court dealing with financial crimes. He has been remanded to Aluva sub-jail till 27th of this month. Rameez was the mediator in the gold smuggling racket. He has also smuggled gold before.
