Kochi: According to latest findings, in the month of June alone 27 kilograms of gold have been smuggled through diplomatic channel to the state.
One June 24, 9 kilograms and on June 26, 18 kilograms of gold were smuggled. The gold was sent from Dubai by Faisal Fareed. The probe team also got information that Sarith, Swapna Suresh and Sandeep Nair were also involved in the smuggling racket.
The bag arrived at the airport in the name of Attache of the UAE Consulate. Further, Sarith took over the bag from the airport.
