Kochi: Bineesh Kodiyeri, son of Kerala CPM secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan, was grilled by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday that lasted for 11 hours. The interrogation was led by ED Joint Director Jaiganesh from Chennai.
Bineesh will be summoned again for interrogation after a week.
He was summoned for interrogation under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), after charges were levelled against him for his close links with some members of a drug racket busted by the Narcotics Control Bureau in Bengaluru recently.
According to reports, Bineesh had a stake in one of the companies that commissioned visa stamping contract at the UAE consulate to Swapna Suresh, the accused in the gold smuggling case.
