New Delhi: Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu on Monday said that peace is the key to progress on the occasion of International Day of Peace.

” On the occasion of International Day of Peace today, let us work towards global harmony and #worldpeace. We must not forget that peace is the key to progress,” Vice President tweeted.

He said that the forces of terror and violence must be totally isolated.

“The world must choose the path of non-violence and unite in ensuring that peace is maintained across nations. The forces of terror and violence must be totally isolated,” VP Naidu said in another tweet.

The International Day of Peace is a United Nations-sanctioned holiday observed annually on 21 September. It is dedicated to world peace and specifically the absence of war and violence, such as might be occasioned by a temporary ceasefire in a combat zone for humanitarian aid access.
