Thiruvananthapuram: BJP state president K Surendran has said that not only M Sivasankar, who was the principal secretary to the chief minister, but also two key officials in the office and two ministers were linked with the gold smugglers. The two officials in the CM’s office have been in constant contact with the smugglers, both by telephone and offline.

At a press conference in Thiruvananthapuram, Surendran demanded that the Chief Minister should resign before more details come out and he is ridiculed. It is alleged that the two ministers assisted the gold smugglers. Sivasankar did everything for the Chief Minister. It was the Chief Minister who introduced Swapna Suresh to Sivasankar.

Surendran said that Chief Minister has close relation with Swapna Suresh than M Sivasankar.

“How did Swapna Suresh and Sivasankar fly abroad four days prior to Chief Minister’s departure for the foreign visit? How could Swapna attend CM’s meeting with high-profile persons abroad?,” Surendran asked.

Sivasankar flew down to assist the gold smugglers as per the directions of the Chief Minister, said K Surendran.

When the gold was seized, Sivasankar called from the CM’s office for the sake of Chief Minister to retrieve the diplomatic baggage.

Surendran pointed out that when he mentioned this on July 6, after the gold was seized, the Chief Minister said that the BJP president was speaking nonsense.
