Thiruvananthapuram: The police department suspended five police personnel on Saturday over security lapses in Cliff House, the official residence of Chief Minister.
Meanwhile, Sub Inspector and Circle Inspector at Museum police station were transferred to AR camp. Reportedly action will be taken against more police officials following an inquiry.
Youth Congress workers on Friday barged into the Cliff House around 7 pm demanding Chief Minister’s resignation over the gold smuggling case. Usually the police block protesters at the Devaswom board junction. However, they failed to stop them due to lack of enough police personnel to control the situation.
