Pathanamthitta : State Government sticks to its cheap politics. Government tends to stretch the ban by using the prayer chanting as a shield to aide its aim. The attempts are to portray the prayer chanting as protest.

The ban declared in Sabarimala and the related reign was supposed to end by Monday. Once the ban is lifted the police will not be able to trouble the devotees further or to mistreat them as trash beneath their foot. In the absence of ban the domination of police will end, the Government really wants it to continue. The Government has pulled up its socks to extend the ban to a few more days.

In the present day there is no protest at Sabarimala, so the Government is investing its effort to portray the prayer chanting as protest and on the basis of these circumstances Pinarayi Government aims to stretch the ban.

The Government also fears, if the ban is lifted more devotees may come which will eventually highlight the failure of Government to facilitate the basic amenities for the pilgrims at Sabarimala. Earlier Ranni Tehsildar’s report to withdraw prohibitory orders announced earlier was overpowered and the ban was extended.
