Pampa : The police are tying safety bands to children at Pampa due to the intervention of National Child Right Commission. The children who visit to Sabarimala are most likely to be lost from the grab of their parents in the rush. Though such reports so far are negligible in numbers the band adds to the safety of the children.
The band worn by the children has their parent’s mobile number and address. This measure is considered as a great relief by the parents. The same band is provided for elderly people as well. The police at the Devaswom Board guard room is in charge of tying the band to young and elder Sabarimala pilgrims. Children have welcomed the band with curiosity and parents with considerable amount of security.
