Thiruvananthapuram: During the third phase of police deployment in Sabarimala, I G Sreejith is being assigned for the security arrangements in Sannidhanam and Pampa. DIG S Surendran will take charge for supervising security measures in Nilakkal,Vadasserikkara and Erumeli.
Police deployment for security is being organised in four phases. 3400 cops will be deployed during November 30 to December 14 period.
Between December 14 and 29, altogether 4026 cops will be on duty including 230 women cops. During the time period of December 29 and January 16th, 4383 cops will be assigned. In this pilgrim season,a total of 15259 cops are deployed in Sabarimala and premises.
