Thiruvananthapuram: Various organisations have come out with protest against Women’s wall.
Samastha, a Muslim organisation has revealed they will not cooperate with the wall. Youth wing State Secretary Abdusamad Pookoottur has responded that Women moving out of religious frame is not acceptable. A number of Muslim organisations have expressed their displeasure on conducting the wall.
Meanwhile, writer T P Rajeevan too has marked his dissatisfaction. Women’s wall is a Government sponsored programme and it is an attempt to destroy the centuries old belief, he said. Renaissance is not to be created by the Government,the happenings over here is the extension of fascism,T P Rajeevan added.
Women’s wall will be built in the national highways at 4 in the evening today.The wall will be from Thiruvananthapuram to Kasargod for a duration of 15 minutes. The Government claims around fifty lakh women will be a part of the wall.
