Following severe criticism, actress Nikhila Vimal said that her words regarding the treatment of women in Muslim marriages functions were distorted by the media. She said that reporters took her opinion out of context.
The actress also said that the media took a small excerpt of her statement and presented it as a criticism of what happens in our state. She added that she will not give any more explanations regarding it. The actress also said that she is well aware of what her words were, and that not every conversation should be considered as a statement.
