Koch: In a relief to 25 persons who were accused of protesting against the entry of women at Sabarimala, the High Court of Kerala allowed anticipatory bail to all. The case was registered at Kunnumkulam police station.
All the accused had taken part in Sharana Mantra protest against the Government.
While granting the anticipatory bail the High Court said that all the accused must be present for questioning. The Court ordered that the police question the accused within 10 days. The court also made it clear that if arrests are needed, the accused must be let off on bail on a bond of Rs. 40,000.
When the State Government is continuing its crackdown on peaceful protesters against Sabarimala women entry, the move from High Court is a welcome sign.
