Goa is all set to welcome its first Vande Bharat express; PM Modi to flag off

Panaji: PM Narendra Modi will flag off the first Vande Bharat Express in Goa. The train will depart from Madgaon railway station. PM Modi will flag off  the train through a video conference, Officials said.

This will be the 19th Vande Bharat express to start its service in our country.  This Vande bharat train operates from Goa’s Madgoan Station to Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminal offering a great travel experience to the people of the region. It will be also a great hold for the tourism sector of the state when the Vande Bharat starts its service from Goa to Mumbai. With the help of the Vande Bharat express passengers can save an hour extra by traveling seven hours.

Our country’s first Vande Bharat train had started its service in February 15 in 2019. The first service was through New Delhi Kanpur- Ahmedabad- Varanasi.  Each Vande Bharat trains are designed to run maximum speed of 160 kmph. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaramam had announced a budget for Vande Bharat in the 2022-23 year budget announcements. There was an announcement that 400 new Vande Bharat will be implemented in next three years.
