The highly anticipated action thriller starring Hollywood actor Gerald Butler and Indian actor Ali Fazal is all set to release in India on June 16, 2023, exclusively on Amazon Prime Video. The film had its theatrical release in the United States in May and has now made its way to Indian audiences. Directed by Ric Roman Waugh, known for his films “Angel Has Fallen” and “Greenland,” the movie promises an intense and thrilling experience.
In addition to Butler and Fazal, the film boasts a talented cast, including Navid Negahban, Bahador Foladi, Nina Toussaint-White, Vassilis Koukalani, Mark Arnold, Corey Johnson, and Abdullah Alnaji in significant roles.
“Kandahar,” written by Mitchell LaFortune, chronicles the narrative of an undercover CIA man called Tom Harris (Gerard Butler), who takes viewers on a heart-pounding trip deep into Afghanistan’s hazardous area. When his identity and purpose are jeopardised as a result of an information leak, Harris must overcome perilous barriers with his Afghan interpreter Mo (Navid Negahban) to reach an extraction point in Kandahar, all while dodging an elite Special Forces team determined to arrest them.
Ali Fazal portrays the character of Kahil in the film, who engages in a dangerous game of cat and mouse with Tom Harris. The movie draws inspiration from true events in the life of a former military intelligence officer.
Thunder Road Pictures, G-BASE, Capstone Studios, and MBC Studios produced “Kandahar,” which will be released in English with dubbed versions in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. It is the most recent addition to Prime membership, offering consumers a thrilling and compelling viewing experience.
