In a surprising development, Emraan Hashmi has been signed on to play the antagonist in the highly anticipated Pawan Kalyan-starrer “OG.” The lack of prior buzz surrounding this casting decision has only added to the excitement surrounding the announcement.

Emraan Hashmi, renowned for his powerful performances, is set to make his debut in South Indian cinema with “OG.” Directed by Sujeeth, the film was initially announced in December and began production in January. It is being produced by DVV Danayya, after their successful film “RRR.”

“OG” promises to be an extraordinary collaboration between the forces of South Indian cinema and Bollywood. Headlined by Pawan Kalyan, the film also features Priyanka Arul Mohan as the female lead. Prakash Raj, Arjun Das, and Sriya Reddy have also been roped in for important roles. With Sujeeth at the helm and DVV Danayya producing, “OG” is expected to be an action-packed thriller. The musical score is being composed by SS Thaman, while Ravi K Chandran is handling the cinematography. The release date of the film has yet to be announced.

Emraan Hashmi expressed his excitement about his Telugu film debut, stating, “I am thrilled to embark on this new journey with ‘OG.’ The movie boasts a strong and gripping script, offering me a challenging role. I am eagerly looking forward to working with Pawan Kalyan Sir, Sujeeth, Danayya Sir, and the entire team. I am confident that together we will create a memorable cinematic experience for the audience.”

In addition to “OG,” Emraan Hashmi has also been confirmed to appear in “Tiger 3,” the third installment in the spy film franchise, alongside Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif. The film belongs to the YRF spy universe.

The anticipation surrounding Emraan Hashmi’s entry into South Indian cinema and his upcoming projects is building, and fans are eagerly awaiting the release of both “OG” and “Tiger 3.”
