Kupwara: In an intense encounter between security personnel and terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district, five foreign terrorists have been eliminated. The encounter, which occurred on Friday, has resulted in the successful neutralisation of the terrorists. Currently, a search operation is underway in the area.
Vijay Kumar, Additional Director General of Police Kashmir, confirmed the news, stating, “Five foreign terrorists killed in the encounter, search operation underway.”
Earlier, on June 13, a joint operation of the Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police led to the neutralisation of two terrorists in the border area of Kupwara district.
“Two terrorists have been neutralised in a joint operation of the Army and Kupwara Police in the Dobanar Machhal area (LoC) of Kupwara district. The search still continues,” Kashmir Zone Police said in a tweet on Tuesday.
