Chennai: Malayalam filmmaker Jude Anthany Joseph is ready to embark on his next cinematic venture following the success of his Malayalam film, “2018.” Lyca Productions, a prominent Tamil entertainment company, made an announcement on Wednesday that they will be collaborating with the director for his upcoming film. Although specific details about the project have not been disclosed, it is expected to be a pan-Indian action flick.
Earlier reports had indicated that Jude Anthany Joseph was considering actors Nivin Pauly, Vijay Sethupathi, and Kichcha Sudeep for his film, which he had previously mentioned in an interview.
The confirmation of the collaboration between Jude Anthany Joseph and Lyca Productions has generated significant excitement among movie enthusiasts, even though the film’s cast has not been officially confirmed yet. In an earlier interview, the director also expressed his interest in casting actress Rashmika Mandanna in a role for his next project.
Jude Anthany Joseph’s previous film garnered immense acclaim for its poignant portrayal of the devastating events during the Kerala Floods in 2018. The movie featured an ensemble cast including Kunchacko Boban, Tovino Thomas, Asif Ali, Vineeth Sreenivasan, Aparna Balamurali, Kalaiyarasan, Narain, Lal, Indrans, Aju Varghese, Tanvi Ram, Sshivada, and Gauthami Nair. Produced by Venu Kunnappilly, CK Padma Kumar, and Anto Joseph under the banners of Kavya Film Company and PK Prime Productions, the film emerged as a commercial success, crossing the ₹100 crore milestone.
