THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: It has been reported that a house in Palkulangara, Thiruvananthapuram experienced a flood this morning. Water entered all the parts of the house. Despite the house being watertight, it got flooded, leaving the family members perplexed about the cause. Water entered all the rooms, causing distress to the family.
Distressed by the water seeping into the rooms, the family sought assistance. Fire and rescue brigades quickly arrived at the scene and started pumping out the water.
Interestingly, despite the heavy rainfall, the house remained unaffected by the rainwater. Later on, it was discovered that the flooding was a result of a leak in the water authority’s pipeline. The pipeline had been installed approximately a week ago as part of the Japan drinking water project.
Allegations have surfaced, suggesting that government projects are being implemented in various regions without undergoing proper scientific assessments.
