Paris: Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed India’s unwavering commitment to fostering a peaceful, prosperous, and sustainable planet during his visit to France. Referring to France as a “strong and trusted partner,” PM Modi emphasised the shared responsibility of both nations in achieving this vision.

Attending the National Day military parade as the Chief Guest, PM Modi took to Twitter to express his gratitude, saying, “India, inspired by its centuries-old ethos, is committed to doing everything possible to make our planet peaceful, prosperous, and sustainable. 1.4 billion Indians will always be grateful to France for being a strong and trusted partner. May the bond deepen even further!”

Earlier, French President Emmanuel Macron, tweeted, “A giant in world history, with a decisive role to play in the future, a strategic partner, a friend. We are proud to welcome India as our guest of honour at the July 14 parade.

Under clear skies on the iconic Champs-Elysees in Paris, the Bastille Day Parade unfolded. PM Modi received the ceremonial salute from the Indian contingent as they marched along the Champs-Elysees. Joining the dignitaries present were French President Emmanuel Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron, further underscoring the significance of the occasion.
