Kannur: A proactive inspection conducted by the Corporation Health Department has resulted in the seizure of stale food from prominent hotels in Kannur city. The operation, carried out ahead of the upcoming Onam festival, aims to ensure the quality and safety of food served to customers.
The health department’s vigilant efforts led to the discovery of stale food in renowned establishments, including Hotel Hot Spot, Hotel Food Buy, Cafe May Soon, and Biennale International.
As the festive season of Onam approaches, authorities have escalated their efforts to uphold food safety standards. Health Supervisor PP Baiju emphasised that stringent action will be taken against hotel owners found to be in violation of food safety regulations and also promised to intensify inspections in the coming days.
