Kochi: A native of Malappuram, Jafarmon, was apprehended by Customs officials at Cochin International Airport, while he tried to smuggle gold hidden in a specially-made pocket in his undergarment.
Jafarmon was caught after he reached Cochin International Airport from Abu Dhabi. Gold in paste form was found hidden in the secret pocket of his undergarment. He had also stitched the gold to the undergarment so as to conceal it completely.
The Customs officials while checking Jafarmon more thoroughly, found two gold chains hidden in his socks.
