Kasargod Plus Two student’s deaths leads to the transfer of three police officers

Following the tragic incident involving the car accident in Kumbala, Kasaragod, where Plus 2 student Farhas lost his life, significant actions have been taken. Three police officers, namely SI Rajith, along with civil police officers Deepu and Ranjith, have been transferred in relation to the incident, their new posting being at the Kanhangad Highway Police Station.

Simultaneously, the police have clarified that the officers’ transfer is not a temporary suspension but rather a procedural measure during the ongoing investigation. The investigation into the incident has been handed over to the Crime Branch. The incident took place last Friday. Plus 2 students’ car flips upside down. There were four students inside the car. CCTV footage of the students’ vehicle being chased by the police was also released. Out of the individuals involved in the accident, only Farhas sustained serious injuries. He died while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Mangalore.
