Pathanamthitta: A fatal accident between a KSRTC Swift bus and a jeep near Kulanada Manthuka Petrol Pump has resulted in the tragic deaths of two individuals. The unfortunate incident occurred at around 9:30 pm on Tuesday, which coincided with the Thiruvonam day of the Onam festival. The victims have been identified as the driver of the jeep, Arun Kumar (29) of Biju Vilas, and Latika (50) of Latika Bhawan, Kottakkal, Kollam.
The jeep, which was going from Anchal to Kottayam, lost control near the Manthuka petrol pump and rammed into the KSRTC Swift bus, which was travelling from Thrissur to Kaliyikkavila. The accident involved relatives en route to a posthumous ceremony in Kottayam. Following the collision, the injured individuals were shifted to private hospitals located in Pandalam and Chengannur.
