WAYANAD: In a surprise raid operation carried out by the Excise department in Periya, located near Kalpetta in the Wayanad district, the result was the confiscation of illicit spirit.
The authorities successfully apprehended 40 liters of illicit spirit along with 1,000 liters of raw materials intended for spirit production.
Four individuals have been arrested in relation to the incident: NP Muhammad from Perampra, Anish from Idukki, Ajith from Beypore, and Mathyu Cherian from Srikandapuram. The investigative team has confirmed that they are thoroughly interrogating the detainees to extract comprehensive information.
