Pathanamthitta: Police has arrested a 60-year-old man for assaulting a 22-year-old woman during Onam celebrations. The unsettling incident took place at Poomala in Tiruvalla. The arrested individual, PK Sabu, hails from Parumala. The incident occurred late yesterday evening, and it’s reported that PK Sabu was drunk and reportedly misbehaved with the girl during the rush of Onam celebrations.
When the girl made a noise, local residents and event organizers restrained him and informed the police. He has faced prior complaints, and he is currently accused in four criminal cases, including involvement in the illegal liquor trade.
