Palakkad: Heat is raising up day by day in Palakkad, today’s being the highest in this month, 41` degree. During last month, four consecutive days recorded 41 degree Celsius. While rural areas have lower degree of heat at nights, cities’ temperature remain at higher levels. Apart from Palakkad, Kottayam and Punalur suffer scorching hours these days.
Water levels of dams and rivers are drooping down and scarcity of water has been the main issue of the people living in Palakkad.
Temperature has been raising up from first week of February and the same weather will remain till May. Sun stroke alert is still on and working time in open air has already been rescheduled. People are advised to keep away from sunlight from morning 11 till 3 in the afternoon.
