THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: From the installation of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) cameras several controversies raised which is still going on. This time AI camera from Adoor captured a man who is working in Kochi.
As the number of AI-controversy cases increased, an investigation revealed that Asif Abubakar a native of Valamchuzhy, Pathanamthitta district unknowingly owned a bike.
On August 10, Asif received the first Petty Case notice. The notice was received along with a picture of two people riding a bike without helmets on KL 03 T 1397. The notice says to pay a penalty for travelling without a helmet. Followed by he received five notices so far.
Since the bike was not owned by him, he immediately approached Pathanamthitta RTO. Then he came to know that in 2010, the bike with the registration number was registered in Pathanamthitta RTO in the name of Asif Abubakar.
But Asif informed that he did not had such a bike during this period. A complaint was lodged with the police and Pathanamthitta RTO asking for an investigation regarding the matter. While the investigation was in progress, Asif got information that there was a bike with this number in the Adoor area. He informed this to Police.
Consecutively in the police investigation, the current users of the bike informed the police that he do not have any idea on the ownership of the vehicle. He also said around 6 years back that he had brought the bike from one of his friend for Rs 7000.
But, his friend purchased the bike from someone else. The ownership of the vehicle, which has been transferred several times, has never been changed on official record leads to the problem. The police have launched an investigation into the incident.
