Kasargod: Case filed against film and television actor Shiyas Kareem on harassment complaint. Kasaragod Chantera Police registered a case on the woman’s complaint that she was raped by a promise of marriage. Police recorded the woman’s statement. The complainant is a coastal resident of Kasargod Hosdurg taluk.
The woman has been working as a trainer at a gym in Ernakulam for many years. It was during this time that he met the actor. The complaint says that later he raped her at a hotel on the Cheruvathur national highway near Thrikaripur by promising her marriage. The complaint also says that Shiyas extorted more than 11 lakh rupees from the young woman.
Following the complaint, the police are in the process of expanding the investigation to Ernakulam. A team led by Inspector GP Manuraj is investigating the case.
