Lucknow : Prime Minister Narendra Modi was presented with a team India jersey by cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar in Varanasi on Saturday. Modi was in his parliamentary constituency to lay the foundation stone of an international cricket stadium after which he is expected to address a rally of women supporters where he will speak about the women’s reservation bill passed by the Parliament earlier this week.
The event was also attended by UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, BCCI President Roger Binny, BCCI Vice President Rajiv Shukla, BCCI secretary Jay Shah, former India coach Ravi Shastri and cricket great Sunil Gavaskar.
During the visit to his parliamentary constituency, PM will also inaugurate 16 newly constructed Atal Residential Schools.
